Concierge care
Ongoing care with one doctor
A private doctor who knows you, understands the wider picture and is there when you need him.
How it works
What ongoing care gives you
A longer first appointment
Care begins with a full review of your history, current health, medication and anything that has been left unresolved. It is the appointment that makes everything afterwards quicker, because Dr Azhar already knows the background.
Direct access to Dr Azhar
You contact Dr Azhar himself rather than a call centre, including outside normal consulting hours, and he is the doctor who sees you. Appointments take place at the clinic in Knightsbridge or Mayfair, at your home or hotel, or by telephone or video when that is more practical.
Responsive care when something is urgent
When a concern cannot wait, he responds personally and arranges a private appointment as promptly as is clinically and practically possible, whether that is at the clinic, at your home or hotel, or remotely.
Reviews that keep pace with your health
Blood pressure, bloods, medication reviews and preventive checks are planned in advance rather than left until something goes wrong, and are timed around your year.
Results explained, not posted
When tests come back, Dr Azhar reads them, calls you and explains what they mean and what happens next, including the results that are normal.
Specialist care coordinated
Where a specialist opinion is useful, he writes the referral with the relevant history attached, and brings the letters and findings that follow back into one coherent record.
Family arrangements
Ongoing care can cover a couple or a household, so the same doctor knows everyone and the whole picture stays in one place.
Choosing
A single consultation or ongoing care
A single private consultation
One appointment for a specific concern, at the clinic, at your home or hotel, or by telephone or video. Dr Azhar assesses the problem, arranges any tests or referrals it needs and follows that episode through. There is no continuing arrangement and nothing to commit to afterwards.
Ongoing concierge care
A continuing relationship with the same doctor. It begins with a longer first appointment, gives you direct access to Dr Azhar including outside normal consulting hours, and covers planned reviews, results explained personally, coordination of specialists and arrangements for a couple or a family. Fees and scope are agreed with you in writing before care begins.
Getting started
Beginning ongoing care
Send a short enquiry and Dr Azhar will arrange a conversation about what you need. If ongoing care is the right fit, he sets out what it will involve and the fee before anything begins.
You then have a first, longer appointment to go through your history in full, after which your reviews, tests and any referrals are planned with you.

Practical answers
What does ongoing care cost?
Arrangements are individual, so fees are confirmed with you on enquiry and agreed in writing before care begins. Nothing starts until you know exactly what it involves.
Do I have to leave my NHS GP?
No. Many patients keep their NHS registration and use Dr Azhar for continuity, unhurried consultations and coordination of private care.
How are prescriptions handled?
Where medication is clinically appropriate after an assessment, Dr Azhar issues a prescription for you to collect from a pharmacy of your choice.
What happens when Dr Azhar is away?
He tells you in advance where possible and helps you arrange suitable alternative care for the period he is unavailable.
Can care continue while I am abroad?
Telephone and video appointments are available for advice, follow-up and results wherever you are. Where an examination or a prescription is needed, you are seen in person.
Is this an emergency service?
No. In an emergency call 999 or attend your nearest emergency department, and call NHS 111 for urgent advice in the UK.
